The PIFC Council of the Ministry of Finance was established as an advisory body for the purpose of PIFC monitoring, responsible for:
- Endorsement of draft PIFC normative acts;
- Endorsement of the annual consolidated PIFC report;
- Addressing the problematic aspects of the PIFC system operation;
- Submitting proposals to remedy the deficiencies.
The PIFC Council's mission is to provide support to the Ministry of Finance in order to ensure an optimal level of awareness of the benefits of PIFC managers of public entities so that public funds are managed in accordance with the principles of good governance.
The Council includes representatives of the Ministry of Finance, internal audit units of public entities, academics and other relevant experts.
