Workshop on Private sector participation in infrastructure & financial market development

On 8th and 9th December, toghether with the Technical Assistance Project ‘Support the Moldovan Government in Identifying and Preparing Projects Linked to the Implementation of the Association Agreement’ (PPF Project) will host a workshop on Private sector participation in infrastructure & financial market development. By discussing the experience of foreign investors in Moldova and other countries, the workshop aims at exploring ways for market development in Moldova through private sector investment and financing. 

The event will be held at Courtyard by Marriott Chisinau, 21/A Arborilor Street, and will welcome participants from government institutions and other public bodies, EU Member State embassies, international financial institutions operating in Moldova, investors, private sector associations, and civil society organisations. 

The workshop will feature speakers from international companies with experience in energy infrastructure, RENCO Armestate from Italy/Armenia and Premier Energy, part of EMMA Capital of Czechia, operator of the Moldovan Giurgiulesti Port, Danube Logistics of the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development, one of the oldest European financial and insurance services company with a leading position in Moldova Grawe Carat, part of Grawe Group from Austria, and Victoriabank a leading bank in Moldova and part of Banca Transilvania Group.

The workshop will be moderated by the PPF Team Leader Yiannis Hadziyiannakis and the EU Programme Manager Josip Juric. 

About the project

The PPF Project supports the Moldovan national authorities in planning, preparing and managing public investment projects, both domestically and externally financed. The PPF Project also assists the Ministry of Finance of Moldova in debt management and the coordination and management of external assistance.
