European Integration
Relations between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova have intensified in recent years. Moldova joined the EU's Eastern Partnership in 2009, and the EU-Moldova Association Agreement entered into force on 1 July 2016.
International Collaboration
The Ministry of Finance is responsible for the coordination of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the area of public finance. This involves the establishment and maintenance of professional relations with similar institutions with the European Union and other countries, as well as relations with International Financial Institutions.

Bilateral collaboration involves creation of a collaborative legal environment between two Contracting Parties, through international treaties and agreements.
About the Ministry of Finance
The Ministry of Finance is the specialised central public administration body to develop and promote the state's public finance policy. As the main public finance supervisor, the Ministry of Finance ensures the regulation and implementation of Public Finance Management policies.
