On December 24, 2018, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration of Romania transferred a new financial assistance tranche in the amount of 3 million euro on the basis of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of Romania on the implementation of the technical and financial assistance program under a 100 million euro non-reimbursable financial aid granted by Romania to the Republic of Moldova, signed in Bucharest on April 27, 2010.

This tranche is intended for renovation and modernization of country’s preschool institutions within the “Technical and financial assistance program granted by the Government of Romania for the preschool institutions from the Republic of Moldova” managed by Moldova Social Investment Fund (MSIF).

According to the MSIF data, 845 kindergartens from the Republic of Moldova have been renovated so far from the grant offered by the Government of Romania. For this purpose, 29 million euro have been capitalized.
