On June 24, 2018, the Ministry of Finance in cooperation with Moldovan Club of Intellectual Games organized the Intellectual Games “Minister of Finance Cup on intellectual games“ 2nd edition. This year edition gained together about 16 teams, each team consisted of 6 people.. Game was organized in trivia format with a lot of logical connections.Teams answered to 36 questions that covered a wide range of public finance topics.

All teams have demonstrated considerable knowledge and skills of logical thinking and winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were awarded with diplomas, medals and board games. As a result of the game, the third place was taken by “WTH” team, the second place was taken by “Asachi” team and the “POKERFACE” team won the first place and won the Cup. It should be noted that the “Ö” team, was granted with the organizers’ sympathy diploma for impressing performance.

The awards were handed over by Minister of Finance, Octavian Armasu.

“Today, we are offering a single Cup of the Minister of Finance on Intellectual Games, though all participants have demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and skills to erudition and logical thinking. Once again, I am convinced that, youth of our country are talented, even if today, such a special and important field was approached, like: “finances”, and participants had to answer complicated questions in just 60 seconds, said Minister of Finance, Octavian Armasu.

Financial education is an important element in raising public awareness of financial issues, and the organization of intellectual games represents a channel of interactions with it.
