The draft Customs Code Republic of Moldova was approved in the second reading during the Parliament’s extraordinary plenary session held on August 13.

The adoption of the new Customs Code derives from the need to execute the commitments assumed by our country, by signing the Moldova-EU Association Agreement, being one of the conditionalities necessary to fulfill the commitments of the Republic of Moldova under the Loan Agreement on the Omnibus macro-financial assistance program.

The new Customs Code, whose adoption in the third (final) reading is currently pending, will enter into force on January 1st, 2023.
