Specialists of the Ministry of Finance trained by EU experts on Budget Support

Specialists of the Ministry of Finance attended a training course in the EU Budget Support Instrument, organised by the EU Technical Assistance Project to Improve Public Finance Policy and Public Financial Management of Moldova, led by EU expert, Gnel Sedrakyan, during the period of 31 January – 02 February, 2017.

The training activity was focused on raising awareness of the EU Budget Support cooperation instrument and the technical aspects specific to the requirements for the design, preparation and management of projects and programmes. 

In particular, the topics discussed during the training sessions were related to terms and concepts, the operational cycle and eligibility criteria for budget support, the Budget Support instrument in the EU policy to third countries, and the rationale and core elements of Sector Reform Contracts.

Note: The Technical Assistance Project to Improve Public Finance Policy and Public Financial Management of Moldova is financed by the EU over a three years implementation period. Its core objective is supporting the Ministry of Finance in implementing its reform agenda andenhance governance in Moldova through improved public financial management.
